As much about storytelling as it is about travel recommendations, this podcast will immerse you in the sound and experience of discovering a place for the first time. Laura is a biology and environmental science teacher who strives to travel responsibly and dives into local foods, culture and experiences. Join Laura, Carrie and the kids as they struggle with jet lag, visit a famous Shintu temple and a sake museum, eat everything they see at the Nishiki fish market... and also at 7-11... visit a pig cafe and wander the streets of Gion.
